Sri Lanka won the toss, chose to bowl, and beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets in Abu Dhabi to claim their first win of the Asia Cup 2025. Bangladesh slipped to 0/2 before a middle-order rebuild took them to 139/5. Pathum Nissanka hit 50 off 34 and Kamil Mishara made 46 as Sri Lanka chased the 140 target in 14.4 overs. The win gives the defending champions a healthy net run rate boost in Group B.
